More People Book Holiday Trips for UAE National Day Break

There are others in the UAE expecting to celebrate festive seasons during the National Day 2nd and 3rd December 2024. Travel agents have been providing information that business is okay and is daily receiving many bookings especially group of youths. The holiday packages cost between Dh2,500 to Dh3,500: the prices are targeted on those youngsters who have started their travelling around the world. Tour operators have also complained of increased incidences of people traveling in groups because they have to share the cost of the holidays.

Young People opt for Group Travel

Musafir.com, the travel website, learns that travelers in the age group of 22-27 years are in search of places of tourist interest, preferably budget tourist destinations. Most of our bookings this year are for young people. They want interesting trips that should not be expensive,” pointed out Ashiya Nazar from Akbar Travels.

Analyzing who travels, family travel accounts for 35% of all reservations, couples traveling next takes 30 percent, friends traveling is 15% while single travelers are 12%. The Road Tales’ Muhammed Azeer shares that the youth’s desire to travel has increased due to COVID-19 and they travel in groups to share hotel and activity costs.

Beaches – Thailand and Bali; outdoor – Georgia and Azerbaijan; culture – Turkey. Some holidaymakers like Russia, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan because they are visa-free and the travel costs less.

Travel agents put it that the prices are far higher during National Day holidays. “The current prices are up to fifty percent higher,” observed Komal Shandil of Go Kite Travels. Kunaal Nanik from Marcopolo Holidays added that airfares start rising in September as people start preparing for their National Day holidays.
