Farah Abu Adeela, a United States-Jordanian contestant, has been crowned Miss Arab USA at the beauty pageant’s finale in Arizona, a state in the Southwestern United States.

The finale of the Miss Arab USA was held on 15 July. The event also featured a performance by dance troupe Zeffa of Phoenix. After winning the competition, she wrote on Instagram, “Yesterday, I had a pleasure having my pageant hair and makeup done by the pros Daniella and Carly who did a great job. Thank you girls for being a part of my success.” 

Farah Abu Adeela from Illinois, a state in the Midwestern United States, is a model and the new Miss Arab USA. She takes over the crown from the 2022 winner, Moroccan American Marwa Lahlou.

The annual event is produced by The Arab American Organization (AAO). It does not feature the swimsuit category in order to honor “Arab young ladies.” The organizers aim “to select an Arab lady to represent our culture in the US and worldwide for one year.”

According to the Arab American Organization (AAO) website, the pageant is “founded on the basis of advancing the cause of young ladies of Arab descent.”

Farah Abu Adeela emerged as a winner on Saturday. Thirty finalists were running for Miss Arab USA. Women from around the country applied to be a part of the Miss Arab USA 2023.

Farah Abu Adeela was chosen out of 30 outstanding Arab American women for the title.

The annual pageant returned in July 2022 after a two-year gap because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Moroccan American Marwa Lahlou emerged as the winner in 2022. American Palestinian Joanna Rashid gained the second spot, while American Lebanese Maria Bassil came in as the second runner-up. Marwa Lahlou fulfilled her childhood dream when she emerged as a winner in 2022.
