Since its launch in 2019, MDLBeast Soundstorm has established itself as the biggest music celebration in the Gulf region. More importantly, it has also become one of the largest music parties globally – as the last edition apparently lured in 730,000 attendees.
This year’s edition – from December 12 to 14 – is seeing more than 150 artists performing in 10 different areas. Once again, the focus is on electronic dance music. The majority of performers are DJ producers, featuring both global and local celebrities.
Prolific rapper Eminem, also called Slim Shady, performed on Thursday. Rapper Mr Porter became his hypeman, and the duo engaged in comedic talks at the end of each song, dropping hints about the next song they are set to play next.
