Kuwait Announces 10-Hour Water Network Maintenance in Four Areas

The Minister of Electricity, water and renewable energy announced water maintenance in Kuwait at the Doha Water Distribution Complex. The development will be temporary and will cause a decrease in water levels in four housing developments. The maintenance would help to ensure reliability of the network and higher performance of the infrastructure, the ministry said.

Four Residential Areas Will Be Affected

The districts that are affected are Ardiya, Sabah Al-Nasser, Firdous, Ishbiliya. During this time, residents and businesses in these areas may see reduced water flow. Disruption is related to planned works to the infrastructure rather than an unplanned one in the network.

Ten Hour Maintenance Starts Thursday

The water will be turning on at 9:00 PM Thursday June 15, 2026 and it should remain on for 10 hours until Friday morning. Residents of the affected regions have been urged by the police to ensure they have adequate amounts of fresh water in advance to meet their basic needs during the period of the ban.

Residents Urged to Prepare in Advance

The ministry has urged residents to prepare ahead of the construction before it starts and everyone to keep an eye on the availability of water during the maintenance. If any person suffers from a very serious cut or a particular emergency because of the interruption, he can get help from the ministry’s customer service hotline at 152.
