Emirati Female Police Officer Ateeqa Musabah Al Dhaheri Makes History

Ateeqa Musabah Al Dhaheri has made history as the first female member to work in the Maritime Rescue Department and the first woman to work as a duty officer at Dubai Police.

Al Dhaheri has had a long and distinguished career with Dubai Police, joining the force in 1993.

She has held a variety of positions, including chief of women’s detention, police officer in the prosecution and courts station, and police officer in the General Department of Airport Security.

In recent years, Al Dhaheri has made a number of significant achievements. In 2020, she won first place in the 21st Middle East Women Leaders Excellence Award in the Police Sector. 

She also won the first place in the Director General Award in the category of best supervisory officer in 2020, and the second place in the Emirates Women Award in the category of Distinguished Employee in 2022.

Al Dhaheri is a role model for women in the UAE and around the world. She has shown that women can achieve anything they set their minds to, regardless of the challenges they face.

Ateeqa Musabah Al Dhaheri was the first female member to obtain a professional diploma in maritime security.

She was selected by the Director of the Ports Police Station to assume the duties and powers of the Acting Head of the Maritime Rescue Department.

Ateeqa Musabah has also received nearly 85 awards and honors, including first place in the Emirates Women Award in the category of Distinguished Employee in 2022.
