Emirates plans on launching First Long Range Airbus A350 to Australia by 2025

Emirates now connects to Adelaide, Australia in their First Long Range Airbus A350, a new aircraft that will first fly to Adelaide as their first destination. The first flight is planned on 1 December 2025, flights numbered EK440 and 441 will operate with the Airbus A350-900ULR is capable of flying over 15 hours non-stop with a range exceeding 14,000 km.

The Emirate airline is also looking forward to upgrading their fleet of refurbished aircrafts with Boeing 777s and Airbus A380s planned to fly to and fro 8 cities within 2025. The upgraded Boeing 777s will be deployed to Madrid, Kuala Lumpur, Frankfurt and Phuket while the A380s will fly towards Bangkok, Hong Kong, Perth and Nice.

“Deploying our first long-range A350 to Adelaide is an exciting development and underscores the importance of Australia as a major eastbound anchor in our network. It also represents our commitment to delivering the best possible long-haul experience on our latest generation aircraft,” stated Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer. 

Key Destinations planned for Emirates upgraded planes 

  • Bangkok – Emirates flights EK372/373 will feature the refurbished A380 from the beginning of July 2025. 
  • Hong Kong – Flights EK380/381 will deploy with the upgraded A380 from 1 October 2025, complementing newly introduced retrofitted Boeing 777 planes this summer.
  • Nice – Emirates will debut its Premium Economy cabin in the flights EK077/078 from 15 October 2025.
  • Perth – The latest-generation A380 will operate on flights EK420/421 from 26 October 2025.

The airline will deploy its upgraded Boeing 777s in the following destinations

  • Madrid – EK143/144 will fly with the upgraded Boeing 777 interiors from 15 October 2025, making Madrid the first Spanish city to feature Emirates’ next-generation cabins.
  • Kuala Lumpur – Flights EK346/347 will be operated by retrofitted Boeing 777s starting 15 October 2025.
  • Frankfurt – This busy city in Germany will get an upgraded Emirates Boeing 777 on daily flights numbered EK043/044 from 15 December 2025.
  • Phuket – The refreshed Boeing 777 will serve EK396/397 beginning December 1.
  • Dublin – Emirates will add a second retrofitted Boeing 777 to its Dublin route from December 1.

“In the next two years, we will definitely cement our position as the industry leader in Premium Economy deployment. The scaling up of our Premium Economy offering strengthens our competitive proposition to travellers and makes it our strategic differentiator by offering them more choice as they increasingly seek premium travel experience”, said Adnan Kazim, according to Khaleej Times.
