EF Qatar Announces Three New Initiatives on Engineers’ Day

Engineers Forum Qatar (EF) took its Silver Jubilee celebrations with the new launch of three initiatives that aim to enhance engineers’ networking, career growth and digital interaction. The projects were announced in the midst of Engineers’ Day in Doha, highlighting a new era for the organisation ahead of the next 25 years.

It took place at Al Messila Luxury Resort and was attended by engineers and other industry, community leaders. Ambassador of India to Qatar Dr. K. Srikar Reddy was the chief guest and officially inaugurated the three initiatives, remembering the contributions of engineering professionals in the field of technology and economic development.

Three Initiatives for the Engineering Community

EF Business Network is the first program to bridge the gap between engineering expertise and business opportunities. It is meant to serve as a space for connections and networking between engineers of Qatar and the broader GCC region; an entrepreneurship hub; mentoring entrepreneurs and start-ups; and possibly investment opportunities.

The second program, EF Elevate, is about professional development and career advancement. The programme will help young and mid-career engineers adjust to the new needs of study enterprises like energy, infrastructure, automation and artificial intelligence, via mentorship, knowledge sharing and ongoing learning.

The third project is the EF Qatar Digitisation Platform that aims to modernise the way the members interact with the forum. The addition of the digital framework will be able to enhance member engagement, the sharing of information and knowledge, and access to professional resources in an integrated and online environment.

New Chapter After 25 Years

As EF Qatar extended its celebration to mark 25 years of building a community and creating opportunities for professional interactions, the three initiatives saw launch. The milestone aims to facilitate growth of the network and to address contemporary developments in the workplace and technology sphere in the engineering sector.

The Engineers’ Day was also marked with the discourse surrounding the role of automation in engineering work, the development of sustainable infrastructure and emerging technologies.
