HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid’s, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, grandson Sheikh Mohammed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum has graduated from the prestigious Royal Military Academy Sandhurst (RMAS) in the UK.
He has been honoured as the best cadet at the academy’s Commissioning Course 241. The Commissioning Course 241 includes scores of international Officer Cadets, each bringing their unique cultural perspectives and backgrounds.
Sheikh Hamdan offers glimpse of the special occasion
The prestigious Sword of Honour marks a significant milestone in Sheikh Mohammed’s military journey and further cement his position among the elite. The Ruler of Dubai confirmed his grandson’s recent graduation from the military academy in the UK.
Earlier in the day, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence, expressed his pride in his nephew’s remarkable feat. He congratulated Sheikh Mohammed in a social media post.
To celebrate the moment, Sheikh Hamdan also shared a video of the graduation ceremony, offering netizens a glimpse of the special occasion. Sheikh Mohammed is being recognised for his results in military, academic and practical studies.
UAE President also graduated from Sandhurst in UK
The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, commonly called Sandhurst, has trained members of distinguished families from across the globe, including many from the UAE’s royal families. UAE President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed graduated from RMAS back in 1979.
The academy shaped His Highness’s military career. He received training in armor, helicopter flying, tactical flying and paratrooper skills. During his time in the UK, Sheikh Hamdan also met Emirati recruits at Sandhurst, adding: “Our youth continue to bring pride.”
