Dubai Police add futuristic Tesla Cybertruck to its luxury patrol fleet

Dubai never fails to amaze. The UAE megacity is setting milestones through its futuristic designs and friendly policies. Back in November 2019, Dubai Police hinted that Tesla Cybertruck may be used to patrol the city’s streets.

In 2024, the Dubai Police General Command added the Tesla Cybertruck to its tourist police luxury patrol fleet. The force boasted about the edgy electric truck on social media with its unique plate number 5 on display.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Executive Council, was also seen closely following the Tesla Cybertruck. Elon Musk, the chief executive of Tesla, reacted to the post with an emoji and noted: “Cool”.

Tesla Cybertruck added to Dubai Police’s supercar fleet

Dubai Police’s supercar fleet is prominent across the globe for its impressive collection of luxurious and incredibly fast cars, including Bugatti Veyron, Toyota 2021 GR Supra, Bentley Continental GT, Aston Martin One-77, Maserati GranTurismo, and more.

The recently added Tesla Cybertruck has a distinctive, angular design made from ultra-hard 30X cold-rolled stainless steel. This gives the electric truck its unique, futuristic look and provides exceptional durability and protection against corrosion and dents.

Tesla’s truck is currently available in three different versions to pre-order on the company’s website. For each version of the vehicle in 2024, you can expect to pay an estimated $57,390 for Real-wheel drive, $76,390 for All-wheel drive and $96,390 for Cyberbeast.

Tesla Cybertruck is much more than just a shiny EV

Tesla uses armoured glass for its Cybertruck – designed to be highly durable and resistant to impacts. Armour glass can resist the impact of a baseball at 70 miles per hour or class 4 hail. In addition, acoustic glass helps make the cabin as quite as outer space.

Tesla claims the futuristic Cybertruck can tow up to 11,000 pounds and has an estimated driving range of up to 340 miles. If a Tesla Supercharger is used, the electric truck then can supposedly add between 128 and 136 miles of range in 15 minutes.

The interior is spacious and can seat up to six adults. Tesla Cybertruck comes with Tesla’s Autopilot as standard. It has a 17-inch touchscreen display, providing access to the EV’s controls and infotainment system. Light bar illuminates the path up to 525 yards.
