Dubai Etihad Rail Guide: Ticket Prices, Train Times and Parking

Dubai will be added to the UAE’s national passenger railway system with Dubai’s Etihad Rail passenger service starting operations on September 30, 2026. The service will link two emirates Dubai with Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, providing a new choice for inter-emirate travel. E-tickets are already on sale via Etihad Rail’s official digital channels.

Al Yalayis Station: Location and Metro Connection

Al Yalayis Station is the station for passengers on Dubai’s metro system, which is situated in Jumeirah Golf Estates, next to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Road (E311). Both access roads are available with the location being on an accessible road from the southern part of Dubai and also from nearby areas such as Al Furjan, Dubai Investment Park and Dubai South.

The station is designed to be a key hub for transportation in the community, serving passengers who are commuting to and from Dubai Metro’s Red Line’s Jumeirah Golf Estates Metro Station. A new pedestrian bridge can be built to connect passengers to the rail and Metro networks. In Dubai, Etihad Rail is also introducing an integrated service with Dubai’s Nol system by introducing all the services of trains, Metros, trams and buses on the basis of a unified QR code.

Etihad Rail Ticket Prices

The introductory fares for Dubai-Abu Dhabi, are AED 39 (Comfort Class) and AED 109 (Premium Class). Tickets are available on Etihad Rail’s website, its mobile application or on its station ticket vending machines.

Before booking, passengers should confirm the dates they have booked since fares and services may change. Railway guarantees seating, has on-board Wi-Fi, charging area and luggage space and Premium Class offers extra comforts and service.

Train Times and Journey Duration

The first Dubai-Abu Dhabi run will take Al Yalayis Station to Mohammed Bin Zayed Station in the city of Abu Dhabi. The trip takes around 57 minutes, which is a direct train option to make this trip even less stressful. The first five Dubai to Dubai-Abu Dhabi trains are set to run, one each day, with the first train reported as leaving at 6:15am.

Dubai-Fujairah will also be flying from this 30th September. The direct route takes approximately 70 minutes, and AED 29 is available to travel this route with Comfort Class fares.

Parking at Al Yalayis Station

There are parking facilities for passengers at the train station. The Al Yalayis terminal is located in the middle of the city, and there are 265 parking spaces there. Taxis, buses and Metro services and ride-hailing services all offer additional means of getting to the city centre.
