How Did Blue Beetle Get Big Screen Theatrical Release?
Initially, the film Blue Beetle was supposed to be released on HBO Max, but Warner Bros. decided to upgrade it to a theatrical release.
The film’s future was uncertain due to a merger between WarnerMedia and Discovery, but it has been confirmed that Blue Beetle will be part of the new DC universe.
However, the release coincides with the SAG-AFTRA strike, so the cast members are unable to promote the film. Despite this, Soto is honoring their work and keeping them updated.
Today (18th August) the film has been released in theaters. It is the first mainstream Latino-led superhero film in live action and aims to provide proper Latino representation.
Blue Beetle Ending Explained
At the end of the Blue Beetle movie, the main character, Jaime Reyes, defeats the villain Carapax in a fight.
It was difficult for Jaime to control his powers, but with the help of Khaji Da, the Scarab, they were able to defeat Carapax, who was an enhanced version of the OMAC prototype.
When Carapax seemingly killed Uncle Rudy, Jaime became angry and almost killed Carapax, but after seeing his memories, Jaime realized they had more in common than he thought and decided not to kill him.
Carapax then sacrificed himself to kill Victoria Kord. At the end of the movie, Jaime and Jenny, another character, share a kiss, implying that they have feelings for each other.
Blue Beetle Post-Credits Scene Explained

In a post-credits scene, it is revealed that Ted is still alive and trying to contact his daughter. It is hinted that he may be lost in space and searching for a way to bring his wife back from the dead. This scene sets up potential future stories involving the Scarab.
