barbie movie approved for release in the uae

Barbie, a popular 2023 US film distributed by Warner Bros. and Warner Bros. Pictures, is set to release in cinemas across the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The UAE Media Council has approved the Barbie movie for release across the country. The UAE Media Council said, “The Council has granted the Barbie movie the approval to be screened in the UAE’s licensed cinemas.” Cinemas in the UAE have to complete the necessary procedures, following the standards of media content and the UAE age classification.

Barbie, currently the highest-grossing film of 2023, was scheduled to be released on July 20 in the UAE. However, the UAE changed the screening date to August 31 with no explanation.
According to reports, Barbie will be released on August 31 on Vox Cinemas’ website. The movie directed by Oscar-nominated writer/director Greta Gerwig will hit theaters on August 31.

The film is about a Barbie doll and her friends living in a perfect pink world. Barbie and her lover Ken set off on an adventure in the real world. The film stars Margot Robbie as Barbie and Ryan Gosling as Ken. The film has already gained more than $800 million at the global box office.

Jeff Goldstein, distribution chief for Warner Bros, said, “That’s a crazy number. Wherever you go, people are wearing pink. Pink is taking over the world.”
