The committee examined two major reports submitted by Bahrain, which has the chairmanship of the 33rd Arab Summit. In the first report, it was stated that efforts by Bahrain and the Arab League Secretariat focus on checking how the resolutions passed at last year’s Bahrain Summit are carried out with a special attention to boosting joint Arab cooperation.

The second report described how Bahrain had worked together with the General Secretariat and international organizations to follow through on the summit initiatives as required by the Bahrain Declaration.

Committee members approved the reports, which will now go to the Arab League Council for their final approval at the summit.

Bahrain’s delegation included:

  • Dr. Khalid Yousif Al Jalahma, Undersecretary for Political Affairs
  • Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Egypt’s Ambassador and Resident Representative to the Arab League
