Etihad Rail Launches Fujairah-ICAD Cargo Service to Boost UAE Trade

Etihad Rail has opened its new cargo line from Fujairah port on the UAE’s east coast to Fujairah’s Industrial City of Abu Dhabi (ICAD) port.

The new line will enhance the UAE’s rail freight network, linking a major maritime gateway to a major industrial and manufacturing center within the UAE. It is designed to support the movement of bulk materials, containers, raw materials and industrial goods.

New Rail Link Strengthens UAE Supply Chains

The Fujairah Port to Abu Dhabi rail freight line provides a multimodal transportation axis that connects maritime cargo to industrial activities in the interior. Utilisation of rail services can enable businesses to transport large numbers of significant volumes of freight traffic between the port and ICAD without solely depending on road transport.
