Hajj 2027: UAE Pilgrims Can Register From September 14 to 25
The General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments and Zakat (Awqaf) announced that the registration process for UAE nationals who want to undertake the pilgrimage in the next year of the Shahriah 1448 (2027) has been opened.
The registration period will begin on the 14th of September, 2026 and will conclude on 25th September, 2026 allowing eligible citizens 12 days for submission of the applications through the mandated digital platforms.
Who Can Register for Hajj 2027?
Registration may be taken to the UAE citizens from age 15 and above who have not performed the Hajj before. The rules have been made with a special focus on first-time pilgrims, with preparations at a tangle, as the Khordadegan pilgrimage season approaches.
Those who have registered in previous Hajj seasons but didn’t have the chance to be picked are advised to update their already submitted applications and not submit new ones.
How to Apply Through Awqaf Digital Channels?
Eligibility to participate in the registration process applies to the applicants who have the form smart application of AWQAF UAE, or through the website of AWQAF UAE. All applications will be received via secure access to the digital service using the UAE Pass.
Applicants are expected to click on the Hajj Package service, input the needs of the personal package and accept the terms and conditions before submitting the application. A reference number will be provided once the application has been successfully submitted.
The applicant who would like to bring a mahram or other family members with him will also have the option of family linking, using the application, entering the reference numbers of the family members who are also registered.
Automated Selection System to Determine Approved Pilgrims
Awqaf will do an automatic electronic screening after the registration is closed on the 25th of September. The applicant who fulfills the Regulatory Eligibility criteria will be selected.
The list of those approved for the pilgrimage will be declared on October 9, 2026. The contract, and health related procedures if required will then continue on the successful applicant.
Important Dates for UAE Hajj Applicants
The Hajj registration runs from 14th September to 25th September 2026. All applications are to be submitted during this time and applicants are advised to keep their reference numbers for subsequent enrolment/processing procedures.
It is important to register in time for Hajj pilgrims who are citizens and will be performing Hajj in 2027, as the approved pilgrim list is expected on October 9, 2026.
