Pilgrims can get a special Umrah visa of 90 days duration through the proper channels while the residents of the GCC can apply for a single entry tourist E visa which will be valid for one year. Choose the Best Travel Option

The families should look at the Haramain High-Speed Railway which will complete the journey between Makkah and Madinah in about 2 hours and 15 minutes. It provides comfortable seats, an air conditioning system and a facility on board, which is ideal for children and elderly passengers.

For bigger families with more bags and other gear, private SUVs are a good option with a typical road journey in between 4.5 and 5.5 hours.

Select Family-Friendly Hotels

Makkah hotels close to Masjid al-Haram can be found near Clock Tower, or Ibrahim Al Khalil Road or Ajyad as well. It is easy to find lodging in Madinah where the Northern Central Zone (Markaziah) is easy to access the Prophet’s Mosque and entrances to the family.
