Selena Gomez Appears in the Hannah Montana Anniversary Special
Selena Gomez reunited with Miley Cyrus for a Disney fans’ delightful 20th anniversary special of Hannah Montana that aired on Disney+ and Hulu. Cackle later featured two of Disney Channel’s biggest stars, Alex Cooper and the duo to mark a friendship that has spanned almost 20 years and revisit their early television days.
The gathering happened in a rebuilt version of the all-famous living room ensemble from the Stewart family, which was formerly used to film episodes of Disney Channel. They sat together on the iconic green couch and reminisced about their time on screen, how they were seen as opposing forces, and how they were spun by the media in the late 2000s.
Revisiting Mikayla Skeeter
Before turning into Wizards of Waverly Place’s lead actress, Selena Gomez was a brash bad boy of the ranks of pop star Mikayla Skeeter, ending up in a fist fight with Hannah Montana more than a few times on the Hannah Montana tv show. She regularly appeared on the show from 2007 to 2008, and in the process became one of the most memorable guest appearances in the show’s history.
The pair revisited iconic moments in the play in which Mikayla goes on about the opposite woman while playing with Hannah. Gomez laughed at the dialogue today, saying it was “strangely hard” to shoot for a kids’ TV show, and got a bit of teasing in return from Cyrus, who jokingly apologises to Gomez for teasing him.

Celebrating Two Decades of Friendship
