UAE's 'Chivalrous Knight 3' operation running strong as 16th group of injured Palestinians arrive

In implementation of UAE President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed’s directives to provide medical treatment for 1,000 injured children and 1,000 cancer patients from the Gaza Strip at Emirati hospitals, the 16th group of Palestinians arrived on early Saturday.

The UAE’s hospitals offer the highest levels of healthcare, in embodiment of the directives of the country’s leadership. The plane carrying 25 patients in need of assistance, accompanied by 51 family members, departed from Egypt to land at Zayed International Airport.

Upon landing, medical teams quickly transferred the injured and those in need of immediate care to hospitals for treatment, and the other cases and their companions reached their residence in the Emirates Humanitarian City.

UAE’s unique model of solidarity and support

Families of patients expressed their appreciation to the UAE and its leadership for this nobel humanitarian initiative – representing a unique model of solidarity and support. The Gulf state has deepened its focus on helping Gazans as the brutal Israel-Hamas fighting rages on.

The families affirmed that the UAE has always and still been the first to extend a helping hand and provide relief to the Palestinian people, supporting them in all circumstances. They also valued the efforts of the medical and volunteer teams that offered full support.

Since the beginning of the Gaza crisis, the UAE has been helping people in the tiny enclave through all forms of humanitarian, relief and aid supplies. It launched the ‘Chivalrous Knight 3’ operation last year to boost support for those in need.

UAE field hospital in Gaza scores medical feat

Led by the Joint Operations Command of the Ministry Of Defence, the humanitarian operation has already supplied tens of thousands of tonnes of aid. The UAE has also constructed a field hospital in Gaza, boasting 200 beds and staffed by over 100 professionals.

In recent developments, the field hospital achieved a remarkable medical feat by removing a massive 5-kilogram tumor from a patient’s abdomen. The patient had endured years of serious pain and health complications due to the tumor.

In addition, the Emirates has established a floating hospital to deliver essential medical treatment and support to the Palestinian community. The nation has also established multiple desalination plants and automated bakeries to meet the daily requirements of the people.
