Moana 2 OTT release: Popular animated sequel passes major global milestone

Moana 2 has sailed past a major box office milestone as it becomes one of the highest-grossing films of 2024. Since its theatrical debut last month, this popular Disney animated sequel has made more than $800 million globally.

Moana 2 has been performing great both domestically and internationally, as it competes against Gladiator II, Sonic the Hedgehog 3 and Mufasa: The Lion King. The film is set to make its debut on digital streaming platforms soon.

The sequel to Disney’s 2016 animated hit Moana continues the journey of the protagonist. Moana has embarked on an important journey into uncharted territories after getting an unexpected call from her ancestors.

Moana 2 is going to be accessible for digital purchase and rental on platforms such as Prime Video, Apple TV+ and YouTube TV starting January 11, 2025. Subsequently, it is expected to stream on Disney+Hotstar in February 2025.
